Vertical Relief climbing courses offer climbers a structured approach to developing climbing skills and gaining technical knowledge. This begins with teaching responsibility for oneself, awareness of risk factors, and respect for the environment. Vertical Relief operates with the authorization and support of the Coconino and Kaibab National Forests.

 

INDOOR INSTRUCTION

Ropemaster:

 

Ease into the vertical world with two fun hours of climbing with an instructor at Vertical Relief.  Practice knots, belaying and movement.  Gain confidence in important climbing skills.  Class includes a one week membership with rental equipment.  
$69/climber, by appointment only

Ropemaster

Lead Class:

 

Ease into the land of the lead with two hours of skill building on the lead wall at Vertical Relief.
$65/climber, by appointment only

Indoor Leading

Private Instruction:

 

Work on specific climbing techniques, gear use and more at Vertical Relief.  It’s up to you.
First person is $35/hr, each additional person is $30/hr, by appointment only

OUTDOOR GUIDING

Top Rope Climbing & Rappelling:

 

Climbing outside is the ultimate experience.  Our guides rig the ropes and belay, you climb.  Have an adventure in the most beautiful canyons in Northern Arizona.
Full day:  First person is $190, discounts for additional people, by appointment only
Half day:  First person is $150, discounts for additional people, by appointment only

Top Roping!

Private Instruction:

 

Work on techniques for bouldering, sport, trad, big wall, canyoneering and more at a local climbing area.  It’s up to you.
Full day:  First person is $225, discounts for additional people, by appointment only
Half day:  First person is $160, discounts for additional people, by appointment only
